My Story – False Allegations, Motives, Contradictory Testimonies and Accusations Against Dorset Police

Andy – Bournemouth

No Further Actions – Yes

Police Force Involved – Dorset Police

Introduction

This is the story of how a false allegation by my former partner, motivated by personal gain and jealousy, led to the loss of my freedom, job, business and family home. The actions of Dorset Police – in particular PC Rose Pratt – and the mistakes of other institutions have ruined not only my life but also the lives of my children.

Timeline and Key Facts

November 2021 – The First Act of Violence
In November 2021, my partner, in a fit of anger, struck me and broke my nose.

“According to Dorset Police reports…, my ex-partner admitted to attacking me. I also have a witness to that incident, whom Dorset Police have not contacted to this day, despite my repeated requests and providing them with the witness’s contact information.”

June 2023 – The Motive and the False Allegation
On 23rd June 2023, after discovering an imagined affair, my ex deliberately called the police and accused me of domestic violence:

“fabricating a story of domestic violence to have me removed from our home and called Dorset Police.”
The motive was clear:
“It’s a lie that I would betray my partner. The fact that she thinks so is the reason and motive behind her false accusations of domestic violence.”

Contradictions and Manipulation in Testimonies
A comparison of police notes and statements reveals numerous inconsistencies and lies from my ex-partner:

  • Changing accounts of the events: at one point she claimed there had been no other assaults except for one incident in 2021, but then suddenly new, previously unreported alleged incidents emerged, such as “strangulation” or “kicking in the stomach”, with no details or evidence.
  • “Three versions of the same incident. In the first version, she admitted to hitting me, in the second version, she claims that I broke my nose at work, and in the third version, I came home drunk with a broken nose.”
  • Inconsistency about whether she was a victim of violence:
“Female party confirms 1) She has not been assaulted or threatened. 2) Male party has not damaged or threatened to damage property belonging to the victim.”
  • Referring to the child as the reason for being at risk, although my son did not witness the key events.
  • Pointing to alleged property damage which in fact occurred before I lived there, or was caused by other partners.

Accusations Against Dorset Police and Their Officers

My story is not an isolated case of negligence or oversight – it is an example of systemic failings and a blatant violation of civil rights by Dorset Police.

The Most Important Accusations Against Dorset Police and Their Officers:

1. Bias, Lack of Impartiality and Gender Prejudice

  • Dorset Police ignored my evidence and reports as a male victim of abuse, failed to interview witnesses and did not verify the accounts of both sides.
“His justified concerns regarding gender discrimination – as a male victim of domestic abuse. The systemic nature of the problems in Dorset Police’s actions, which go beyond isolated ‘mistakes.’”
  • Officers decided to remove me from my home despite the lack of any legal or factual grounds.

2. Ignoring Evidence and False Reports

  • PC Rose Pratt and other officers refused to examine evidence proving my innocence (photos, messages, witnesses), and their reports contained false statements:
“Officer Simon Shaw 1720 wrote: ‘The suspect previously ignored Police advice to leave the property and not return.’ This is untrue.”
  • They failed to interview neighbours and the person who had been living with us in the days leading up to the allegation.

3. Failure to Act on Offences Committed by My Ex

  • Despite my partner admitting to assaulting me and despite substantial evidence of her abuse, Dorset Police repeatedly refused to initiate proceedings against her, contrary even to the advice of their own superiors:
“Dorset Police repeatedly refused to initiate proceedings against my ex, falsely insinuating that an investigation against her could not begin while the investigation against me was ongoing. However, during a conversation with Inspector Chris Bradford, he informed me that this was a lie and that both investigations should be conducted simultaneously.”
  • The police took no action in response to well-documented stalking, theft, deletion of company accounts, or attempts to block my contact with my children.

4. False Allegations, Manipulation and Wasting Police Time

  • No consequences for the person who made false statements and repeatedly reported fabricated incidents to the police.
  • My ex deliberately involved her son in her narrative, using him to provoke a response from the authorities:
“The Applicant lied, claiming that her son was terrified, knowing that the police cannot ignore information involving minors.”

5. Escalation and Breach of the Victims’ Code

  • Instead of protecting all members of the household and preventing further escalation, the police’s decisions contributed to the destruction of my business, family and relationship with my children.
  • Dorset Police failed to respect the Victims’ Code, did not inform me of my rights or provide support.

The Consequences – Loss of Everything

  • Loss of my home, business, and livelihood.
  • After my arrest, my partner deleted my business’s Facebook fanpage, blocked access to my devices, tracked my location using apps, broke into my online accounts and spread false information.

“On the night of June 24-25, 2023 (while I was in police custody), the Applicant deleted the FanPage of my company from Facebook.”

Key Quotes and Excerpts from Documents

  • “Despite the lack of any sign of an offence or aggression on his part, and the fact that he was a legal tenant of the property, the police… took actions that escalated the situation.” (IOPC Decision…)
  • “It is worth recalling that in his original complaint… accused Dorset Police officers of actions amounting to discrimination, fabrication of evidence, and making unfounded accusations.”

Summary

My case shows how easily a person’s life can be destroyed within the British legal system on the basis of inconsistent and unverified statements, and a lack of professionalism by law enforcement agencies. False allegations, manipulation and a failure to conduct a thorough investigation by Dorset Police led to the loss of my family, my business and trust in the rule of law.
